10K Steps challenge with friends

Walk 10,000 steps a day. Your iPhone checks in for you.

10,000 steps a day is the classic walking goal: about 7–8 km, or 90 minutes of walking spread across the day. It is easy to understand and surprisingly hard to hit every single day.

In RallyStreak you never have to log it. Your iPhone counts the steps through Apple Health, the challenge checks you in the moment you pass 10,000, and your crew sees it on the board.

What you do every day

How to do it

  1. Allow RallyStreak to read your step count from Apple Health (only the daily result is shared).
  2. Walk to work, take calls on foot, or add a 30-minute walk after dinner.
  3. Watch the progress bar fill up; the check-in happens automatically.
  4. If your phone stayed on the desk, mark the day done manually; the group sees it was logged by hand.

The rules

  • 3 strikes allowed; when strikes run out you are out, but stay on the board to cheer the others.
  • No rest days.
  • Your day runs midnight to midnight in your time zone, and you can still check in until 3 AM.
  • Missed yesterday? Up to two earlier days can be logged, marked “logged late” for the group to see.

Doing it with friends

Start the 10K Steps challenge in RallyStreak, pick a start date and share one link. Friends join free in under 30 seconds. From Day 1 everyone checks in on their own phone, the board shows the whole crew’s streaks, and a single nudge reminds whoever hasn’t gone yet.

FAQ

How does RallyStreak count my steps?

It reads today’s step total from Apple Health on your iPhone. Health data stays on your device; only whether you reached the goal, and the number, is shared with your group.

Does it work with an Apple Watch?

Yes. Steps from your Apple Watch are part of the Apple Health total that RallyStreak reads.

Is 10,000 steps a day realistic?

For most people it takes a deliberate walk or two. If 10,000 is too much to start, create a custom challenge with a lower target.
