RallyStreak is a group challenge app made by Kovacs Software (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the RallyStreak app and rallystreak.com, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
What we collect
- Account: a random account ID and your display name and avatar (an emoji and a color). You start as a guest. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we also get the identifier Apple gives us and the email address you share. If you pick “Hide My Email”, that is an Apple relay address.
- Device: a random identifier created for this app on your device (we store only a hash of it) so you stay signed in, and a push notification token if you allow notifications.
- Challenge activity: the challenges you create or join, your level, strikes and streaks, your check-ins (done or not, and numbers such as plank seconds or push-up counts), notes, photos, posts, reactions, replies and nudges.
- Apple Health: only if you join a challenge with a steps task and give permission. The app reads your step count on your device and sends us just the day’s result (done or not, and the step number). We don’t read any other Health data.
- Settings: your time zone, reminder time, quiet hours and notification choices.
- Purchases: whether you have RallyStreak Pro, which plan, and when it renews or ends. Apple handles payment. We never see your card or payment details.
- Security logs: the IP address and app version used to sign in, kept with your sign-in sessions to protect your account.
We don’t collect your location, contacts or browsing history, and the app has no advertising or third-party analytics code.
How we use it
- To run your challenges: show the board, the feed and recaps, count streaks and strikes, and close each day at your local 3 AM.
- To send the notifications you turn on: reminders, nudges from friends and group updates, never during your quiet hours.
- To give you Pro features when you subscribe.
- To keep RallyStreak safe: prevent abuse, review reported content and fix problems.
Where privacy laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on our agreement with you to provide the service, on your consent for Apple Health and notifications (you can withdraw it at any time in the iPhone Settings app), and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Who can see your information
- Your challenge group. Challenges are private and invite-only. Only members of a challenge see its board, feed, notes, photos and your check-ins in it. The person who creates a challenge can also set photos to be visible only to the person who posted them. There are no public profiles, search or followers.
- People with an invite link. Anyone who has a challenge’s link or code can see its name, tasks and dates, and the names and avatars of its members before joining. Invite pages are not listed in search engines, and the admin can turn the invite off.
- Service providers that run RallyStreak for us and may only use the data to do that: our hosting and storage providers (servers, database and photo storage), RevenueCat (subscription status, linked to your random account ID, plus views of the upgrade screen), Expo and Apple (to deliver push notifications) and Apple (Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases). Some providers process data outside your country, with safeguards required by law.
- Legal reasons. If the law requires it, or to protect people’s safety.
Apple Health
Health data is used only to check in your steps task. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone except the members of that challenge, who see whether you completed the day and your step number.
How long we keep it
- Photos are deleted 90 days after their challenge ends.
- Everything else is kept while your account exists.
- Reported content is hidden at once and kept until we review it.
Deleting your account
Open Settings → Delete account in the app. This deletes your profile, check-ins, photos, posts, reactions, replies and nudges straight away. In group history, your past activity (such as “finished Day 5”) shows as “Former member”. Challenges you created continue for the other members, and the longest-standing member becomes the admin. A challenge where you were the only member is deleted.
Apple and RevenueCat keep records of past purchases as required for billing and tax. Deleting the app does not delete your account, and a guest account can’t be recovered once the app is deleted, so use Settings → Delete account first. You can also ask us to delete your data at [email protected].
Your rights
You can see and change your name, avatar and settings in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to get a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and complain to your data protection authority. Email us to use any of these rights, and include the Support ID from Settings so we can find your account.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Photos are stored privately and are only shown to members of the challenge they were posted in. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Children
RallyStreak is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child under 13 is using RallyStreak, contact us and we will delete the account.
Website
rallystreak.com has no ads or analytics trackers. It uses only the cookies it needs to work, and it loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If the change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
